I MAMA Awards (Mnet Asian Music Awards) sono i premi più importanti, musicalmente parlando, dell’anno e i Daesang Award o Grand Prize sono i premi per eccellenza dello spettacolo e, nel caso dei MAMA sono da sempre 4: Album of the Year, Worldwide Icon of the Year, Song of the Year e Artist of the Year.

I BTS sono i primi artisti in assoluto, da quando i MAMA sono iniziati nel lontano 1999, a vincere tutti e quattro i premi Daesang contemporaneamente. I ragazzi, infatti, hanno vinto Album of the Year, Worldwide Icon of the Year, Song of the Year e Artist of the Year ma, in realtà, hanno vinto anche altri cinque premi ‘minori’: Best Male Group, Qoo10 Favorite Male Artist, Best Music Video, Best Dance Performance Male Group e Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10.
